The reason why WWE only holds house shows in Kentucky these days is because of a state regulation which involves blood.
Louisville Metro Councilman David James wants the Kentucky Boxing and Wrestling Authority to change a regulation that says an event can be cancelled over a single drop of blood in the ring.
“The roadblock that’s stopping us lies with the state,” he said.
James also says if the state does not make a change then Louisville and Lexington — and other cities around Kentucky — could lose out on millions of dollars as the WWE would go to other cities like Indianapolis, Nashville or Columbus, the site of this year’s Money In The Bank
