Big E

Big E had all the charisma in the world before being called up to the main roster, then suddenly he stopped showing it. His run as Intercontinental Champion was largely forgettable because the fans didn’t get behind him, so he was repackaged with Woods and Kingston as The New Day.

While The New Day struggled to get reactions to begin with, they tapped into their annoying side by being overly nice and preachy. Big E has the most to gain from this, and he’s frequently dancing, and you can tell how much he enjoys the new gimmick. The fans care enough to boo, and they care enough to listen to Big E say “Don’t you dare be sour! Clap for your two-time champs, and FEEL The POWER!

When The New Day finally disband, Big E could turn babyface and use his charisma to get the fans behind him, because the WWE universe are aware of him now, and what he’s capable of.

Braun Strowman

Strowman has burst on to the scene like the monster he is, and it’s going to be exciting to see what he can do. Rarely do you ever see a wrestler bypass NXT development and go straight to the main roster against already developed talent. Immediately after his debut, I saw comments saying “Brock vs Braun, make it happen!”, which is a clear indication of his impact. Strowman has a very bright future, as long as he keeps it together and maintains the monster feel rarely found nowadays.

Charlotte

She is destined for success, and not just because of who her daddy is. She has wrestling ability, and she isn’t afraid of a microphone. She is a strong athletic woman with a desire to win championships, and all I see is a future, multi-time Divas Champion. And she’s not alone, as she has other divas to work with, Paige, Lynch, Sasha, Bayley, and many more waiting to crawl out from the wood work. The dusty finish on Raw showed they are bound to put the strap on her eventually when the timing is right.

The Dudley Boyz

It’s difficult to say that The Dudley Boyz can do more with their career, but compared to their previous work, they have been rejuvenated. The team split in TNA, so Bubba (formerly known as Bully Ray) could go on a singles run, where he became a two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, becoming the man in TNA for over a year. But after that he started a feud with Dixie, and he put her through a table, which was truly amazing, but it was also the last meaningful thing he did in TNA.

There were so many indications the Dudleys wanted to return to the WWE, but they didn;t take notice. When Bully returned on Impact as an authority figure, I felt like it was a waste of his talent, as he’s only gotten better as a singles wrestler over the past few years. D-Von also had singles success as TNA Television Champion, but then suddenly “retired”, and didn’t want to wrestle.

Bang! Dudleys return, shocking myself and the WWE universe, immediately making the tag team division exciting again. Now The New Day have a team which can put them over, and The Dudleys will enjoy success again soon. I can see the teams trading title victories, and it’s going to be fun to watch. After ten years, The Dudleys have returned, refreshed and willing to get over with a new generation of fans.

Kevin Owens

Wait! How can Owens have momentum? Compare his career now to his career a year ago, and you will see what I mean. Think about what he’s accomplished since he arrived? NXT Champion, defeated John Cena clean in a singles match, who else can say they did that? No one. Yes, he was beaten twice by Cena and “demoted” to the mid-card, which to some is a sign of his momentum slowing, but it hasn’t. WWE and Owens have work to do, they can’t stick him in the main event scene after one feud with Cena, he needs to go through the roster and find chemistry with the talent; only then will Owens be pushed.

He will be pushed, I can guarantee it, because he can work a mic, work a match, and he sells merchandise. He also has a character which he stays true to, and he always gets a whole bunch of heat from any crowd he walks in front of. He’s a main event guy, waiting for the right moment. Pushing him too hard too soon could damage his career in the long run. Have some patience.

Lana

Lana is supremely over. She isn’t even a wrestler, but when she attacks Summer Rae the fans go nuts. I like to say she has “Sable-like” popularity, a woman who’s more of a manager than a wrestler, but gets over and soon becomes a wrestler to please the fans. She’s the only good thing about the Ziggler & Rusev feud, and her injury has put the storyline on an awkward hold for the time being. She will return to a massive pop, just you wait.

Lana

Ryback

Ryback recently told us the real story of how we was booked. He was pushed to the top, then he fell to the bottom, and now he’s worked, scratched and clawed to where he is today. The “Goldberg” chants have ceased, and fans genuinely enjoy him as the “Feed Me More” guy. He’s gained respect from the fans and his peers, and holding the Intercontinental Championship like he has, it’s really nice to see. He’s humble, taking it one week at a time, and it looks like he will continue to scratch and claw his way up the pecking order.

Ryback

Sasha Banks

23 years old. I’ll repeat .. 23 years old. You would believe Sasha was a 30 year old veteran, but she isn’t, she is 23 years old, and already majorly respected by the fans and her fellow divas. She’s been going over Paige, and she put Bayley over a treat at the last NXT ppv. Her look, the way she talks, the way she wrestles, she has the total package, and she has all the time in the world to become a future Hall of Famer. And she will compete in the first Iron Woman match to see who the best “women’s wrestler” is in the WWE. Her career is steaming hot, and all I can say about Sasha is, she truly is The Boss.

Sasha Banks

Finn Balor

Despite his microphone skills lacking, Balor’s unique gimmick and wrestling ability is going to make him a fan favourite just like Jeff Hardy did before him. The artistic and visual side of his character sets him apart from the rest, so it’s only a matter of time until he is called up. “The Demon” could make an appearance on a WWE PPV in 2016.

Finn Balor

Seth Rollins

Obviously, Seth Rollins’ career is at an all-time high, and it’s hard to imagine him anymore dominant. He’s so hated, they put two belts on him so the fans get to pop twice when he loses them, unless one of them is to Cena of course. The moment Rollins loses the World title, it’s going to be a memorable moment, and it’s largely down to his own work. Of course, he’s had The Authority behind him to add to the hate, but he’s had to put in the work as well. Rollins can have a good match with anyone, and a heel champion needs that.

Seth Rollins

Sting

Sting was “The Icon” of TNA for several years, a multi-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion, and one of the wrestlers who really helped to put TNA on the map. It’s sad that his TNA career gets no mention, as Sting did a lot of good, but towards the end of his time in TNA, he was used sparingly, and his “Joker” gimmick didn’t go down so well. He also put Hogan over in what is likely Hogan’s last PPV match. Sting hinted retirements many times in TNA, not because of TNA, but because he felt he was taking a spot from the younger wrestlers who could benefit.

Every time Sting hinted retiring, the fans would pop and cheer, and ultimately persuade him not to retire. And then, the unthinkable happened, after so many years of Sting remaining loyal to the “other company”, whether it’s WCW or TNA, Sting signed a deal. Yes, he lost a chaotic match filled with interference at Wrestlemania, but that’s in the past.

What really matters is, Sting had not won a single match in WWE (before Raw), and was granted a WWE title shot in the main event of Night of Champions. WWE is finally showing the WWE universe that Sting is a main event guy, and always has been. Whether Sting wins the title or not doesn’t matter, his career has been rejuvenated, and the new generation of WWE fans are likely to enjoy his run in the twilight of his career. He may have limitations in the ring, but it doesn’t stop him from entertaining like only The Stinger can.

Sting

Bayley

<3 Bayley. She is a rarity in the business today, someone who comes across as a genuine person, is able to wrestle, and the fans don’t seriously hate her for being nice. She is going to be a huge role model to kids when she gets to the main roster, and the Divas division needs someone like that. You need a good girl so the bad girls appear as bad as they are.

Winning her first wrestling championship, you could see the raw emotion, and now she gets to compete in the first Iron Woman’s match. Compared to a year ago, it’s a huge step in the right direction.

Bayley

Apollo Crews

The Apollo Nation is rising. Blink and you’ll miss it, this guy is going to be a star, and that’s all I have to say.

Apollo Crews

Baron Corbin

Wow, the NXT fans HATE Corbin. And that’s great, because whether Corbin can wrestle or not, whether he cares for the business or not, Corbin has the look, and he has the ability to get fans to despise him the second he walks out. His offense is not going to be pretty, as he works for the money, not for the wrestling, but what he lacks in wrestling finesse, he makes up for by having a face everyone would love to slap. Corbin is going places, but only after more development in NXT. He’s not quite there yet, but he’s not far away.

Baron Corbin

Bull Dempsey

BULL-FIT! BULL-FIT! Dempsey was nothing to me in his feud with Corbin .. then they repackaged him with hilarious segments highlighting his need to eat, and his laziness when it comes to training. Regal told him to get in shape or he’ll lose his job, so Dempsey did a Rocky Balboa on it, and now the fans love the new-and-improved Bull Dempsey. Now the fans care for him, and it’s nice to see. And yes, Bull is gorgeous!

Bull Dempsey

Dana Brooke

Dana Brooke, she’s not quite there as a heel, but she has all the tools in the world to be the next NXT Women’s Champion. I can’t see anyone else doing it before her. The day Bayley is called up, Dana will take the NXT Women’s Division over.

Dana Brooke

SAWFT

“My name is Enzo Amore, and I am a certified G, and a bonafied stud. And you can’t teach that! And this right here, this is Big Cass, and he’s 7 foot tall, and you can’t teach that! And this right here, this is Carmella, and she’s hot as hell, and you can’t teach that! BADA BOOM, REALEST GUYS IN THE ROOM! HOW YOU DOIN!”

Ok, I’m getting annoyed with this, HOW are SAWFT NOT on the main roster right now? They are over as hell, and you can’t teach that!

SAWFT

Tye Dillinger

TEN! TEN! TEN! From jobber to crowd favourite, the veteran NXT jobber has finally found something to set him apart from the rest, and it’s reminiscent of Mr. Perfect, or any other wrestler to claim they were perfect in some way. Dillinger is the Perfect Ten, and hopefully his new-found gimmick takes him to heights he never thought possible.
