PRELIMINARY CARD (FOX Sports 2, 8 p.m. ET)

Sirwan Kakai vs. Danny Martinez

Round 1: Both men come out aggressive and exchanging nicely. Martinez presses the action. Martinez clinched and put Kaki on the fence. Martinez attempts a takedown, but Kaki is using good defense. They separate at 2:34. Kakai with a good left, right combo. Martinez blitzed him, but ate a knee to the jaw and dropped. Kaki blitzed him, but Martinez got to his feet and tried to recover. Kakai with another knee to the face of Martinez. Martinez is trying to defend himself, but Kaki clinched and put him on the fence. Martinez went for a guillotine choke, but Kaki got out. It seems that Martinez has recovered and is throwing shots. Martinez with a knee of his own to the chest of Kakai to end the round.

Round 2: Kakai comes out throwing some big bombs. Martinez answers with some counter strikes. Kaki threw a head kick, but Martinez shoved it off. Kakai gets a double leg takedown at 3:10 and in half guard. Martinez got to his feet but keeps his back on the fence. Kakai with a knee to the jaw of Martinez and follows it up with a quick double leg. Martinez tried to wall walk as he got punched in the face. Martinez got back to his feet and ended the round with a flying knee.

Round 3: Martinez is trying to level change to get inside Kakai’s range, but not working so far. Martinez lands a big left hook. Both men have slowed down quite a bit since the previous round. Martinez tried to turn up the heat, but too little too late.

Result: Sirwan Kakai def. Danny Martinez via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Steve Montgomery vs. Tony Sims

Round 1: Montgomery uses his range early on and Sims can’t find his at all. Sims shot in , but stuffed. Sims with a right hook leading to clinching with him. They separate and go back to striking. Sims dropped Montgomery with a devastating left hand. He swarms him with strikes and this one is over!

Result: Tony Sims def. Steve Montgomery via TKO (punches) – Round 1, 2:43

Lewis Gonzalez vs. Leandro Silva

Round 1: Gonzalez presses the action early, they clinch on the fence. Silva got a double leg takedown at 351, but Gonzalez got back to his feet with ease. Gonzalez gets on the inside of Silva and worked over the body of Silva. They separate and go back to striking. Gonzalez with a single leg takedown, but Silva rolled into a heel hook. Gonzalez got out and got on top in guard.

Round 2: After exchanging strikes early on in the round, Gonzalez clinched with him on the fence. Silva got out of it with some big hooks. Silva with a kick to the body of Gonzalez and then clinched with him. Silva with a scoop slam and falls into half guard. Gonzalez scrambled and got on top of Silva. Gonzalez with some big shots that results in him getting into half guard. Silva bucked him off and stood up with one minute remaining. Gonzalez shot in on a single-leg, but stuffed.

Round 3: Gonzalez lands a big straight right hand to start the fight. Silva presses, he lands two back-to-back straight lefts and then clinched with Gonzalez. Silva separated and landed a left hook. Silva tagged him with a straight left and dropped Gonzalez. Silva got the back of Gonzalez with 1:52 remaining. Silva went for an armbar, but Gonzalez put up some great defense. Gonzalez scrambled out and got to his feet. Silva blitzed him at the end of the round.

Result: Leandro Silva def. Lewis Gonzalez via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-27)

Joe Merritt vs. Alex Oliveira

Round 1: They clinch right away, Oliveira on the outside and working for a takedown. Oliveira got the back of Merritt and looked for a rear-naked choke. Merritt put up some great submission defense that led to him transiting into half guard on top.

Round 2: Oliveira slipped after attempting a head kick early in the round. Oliveira rebounded with a nice right hook. Merritt shot in and got a double-leg takedown. Merritt moves into half guard and works him over with elbows. Oliveira got to his feet, but ate a knee to the body. Oliveira got the back of Merritt and locked in the rear-naked choke.

Round 3: Oliveira went for a single-leg takedown early in the round. Merritt stuffed it and they clinched on the fence. Oliveira faked for a kimura, but then switched to the back of Merritt and dragged him down. Merritt scrambled to the top and landed a big elbow. Oliveira to his feet and lands a straight left strike. Oliveira with a waist lock takedown that leads to back position.

Result: Alex Oliveira def. Joe Merritt via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

MAIN CARD (FOX Sports 1, 10 p.m. ET)

Hacran Dias vs. Levan Makashvili

Round 1: Dias using a lot of leg kicks early on. Makashvili clinched with after no action took place. Makashvili has him pressed up against the fence, but then separate. Makashvili with a big right hand that backed Dias up. Dias clinched and got a waist lock takedown with under a minute remaining.

Round 2: Makashvili with a double leg takedown into half guard. Dias went for a kimura, but Makashvili shook him off and stood up. Makashvili got on top and worked him over with strikes. Dias scrambled and got on top. Makashvili pops up to his feet. Makashvili shrugged him off and they exchange to the bell.

Round 3: Makashvili kicked Dias in the junk to begin the round. Not the best way to go. Makashvili clinched and put Dias on the fence. The fans boo as Makashvili lands knee shots to the legs of Dias. Not a ton of action in this round, Jon Anik even says that this round sucked. We go to the judges.

Result: Hacran Dias def. Levan Makashvili via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)

Steve Bosse vs. Thiago Santos

Round 1: Santos with a head kick within just seconds of the fight and put the lights out in Florida for Bosse.

Result: Thiago Santos def. Steve Bosse via KO (head kick) at :29 of R1

Eddie Gordon vs. Antonio Carlos Junior

Round 1: Junior presses early, he goes with a level change that leads him into a clinch fest with Gordon on the fence. Junior with a scoop slam into half guard. Gordon attempted to claim a four blow, but the referee waves it off and Junior continues to land knees to the body of Gordon. Junior with a double leg takedown, he gets side control and blitzed him with strikes to the face to end the round.

Round 2: Junior is using his range well and is landing some big shots to the point Gordon stops throwing anything when Gordon fakes. Gordon clinches and put Gordon on the fence. Junior with a double leg takedown and gets into half guard where he lands some thick elbows from the top to end the round.

Round 3: Gordon clinched with Junior, but Junior locked in a guillotine choke. It was nothing serious and let it go. Junior with a single leg takedown into half guard. Junior got the back mount and looked for the rear-naked choke. Moments later, he would go on to win with it.

Result: Antonio Carlos Junior def. Eddie Gordon via submission (rear-naked choke) – Round 3, 4:37

Lorenz Larkin vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio

Round 1: Larkin mixes it up early in the fight and shows that he is the aggressor in the fight. Ponzinibbio clinches and puts Larkin on the fence. Ponzinibbio with an elbow to the head of Larkin as he slides out. Ponzinibbio shot in on a single-leg, but couldn’t finish it. Larkin works over the left leg of Ponzinibbio with kicks and is just chewing it up.

Round 2: Larkin continues to tear up the left leg of Ponzinibbio with kicks and it’s affecting him big time. Ponzinibbio threw punches in bunches, but nothing landed. Ponzinibbio tagged Larkin and put him down to one knee. Larkin fought back and wow they’re swinging for the fences. Ponzinibbio stunned Larkin with a right hook. They exchange in the pocket then Larkin hit a beauty of a combo with a left, right combo that sent Ponzinibbio to the ground. Larkin lands flurry of strikes as Ponzinibbio gets to his feet and the fight is over.

Result: Lorenz Larkin def. Santiago Ponzinibbio via TKO (punches) – Round 2, 3:07

Lyoto Machida vs. Yoel Romero

Round 1: Both fighters had a bit of a feeling out process for the first few minutes that had the crowd split on who they were chanting for. Romero with some kicks as well as Machida. Romero tagged him with a left hook. Machida quickly recovered.

Round 2: Machida works the legs of Romero with kicks. Brian Stann calls this a great technical fight as we are halfway through this fight and neither fight has done much damage. Romero with a flying knee to the body of Machida. Romero tagged him a few moments and pushed Machida to be more active.

Round 3: Romero slammed Machida down with a waist lock takedown then blitzed him with strikes/elbows and finished him on the ground!

Result: Yoel Romero def. Lyoto Machida via knockout (elbows) – Round 3, 1:38
