Why WWE Will Never Make Everyone Happy

Since the start of the “PG Era” in 2008, many wrestling fans around the world have complained about WWE always doing the same things over and over again. Wrestling fans have aired their disapprovals over stars such as John Cena and Randy Orton always being in the main event. Now, despite that the “PG Era” has indeed provided wrestling fans with some outstanding matches, I have to agree that at points, it was boring. But now, WWE has a whole new crop of stars coming up, they’re doing different things, but what are fans doing? Complaining.

How many wrestling fans have realized that this is now the second year in a row that John Cena is not in the main event at WrestleMania? Yes, John Cena, who has been the FACE of the WWE for over 10 years, has not been in the main event of the biggest show of the year for 2 years now. And why is that? Because WWE is pushing new guys and trying different things, but yet, fans still complain. Why though?

I’ll never understand the thought process of most WWE fans. 90% of the time, it appears that fans want something, but then when WWE actually gives it to them, they still complain. Lets take a quick look at some of the big things fans have asked for in the last year:

“We want Daniel Bryan in the main event!”
“We want Reigns to win the Rumble, not Batista!”
“Push Ziggler!”
“Make the mid-card matter again!”
“Push Cesaro!”
“Push Bray Wyatt!”

Do you see the common trend with all of these? All of them came true or are in the process of coming true. Bryan went on to main event WrestleMania, Reigns won the 2015 Rumble, Ziggler was heavily push in late 2014 due to the Authority storyline, Daniel Bryan and John Cena are going for mid-card titles at this year’s ‘Mania, Cesaro won the Battle Royal at ‘Mania and is now Tag Team Champion, and Bray Wyatt is facing The Undertaker at ‘Mania this year. You see? Fans have a bad tendency to overlook when WWE is actually doing what they want. And that tendency leads to even more complaining. To take a good example, during Ziggler’s push, WWE was featuring him heavily. He was on every Raw, every Smackdown, in several title matches, in main events, and yet, fans complained that they weren’t using him correctly. And that’s the problem. Fans nowadays are so ungrateful and impatience. Triple H said it best during his podcast with Stone Cold. People don’t like to wait things out. They want everything they want, how they want it right now or it’s not good enough. And that right there is the sole-reason that WWE will never make everyone happy.
