Welcome everyone to this week’s edition of Wrestling Whispers. There’s a lot of excitement in the air following WWE Super Showdown and AEW Revolution. Plus, with Wrestlemania on the way, it’s shaping up to be a big moment for wrestling fans.

So let’s see what’s been creating buzz this week.

WrestleMania plans

Despite previous rumors that WWE had no WrestleMania plans for him, Goldberg won the Universal Championship from Bray Wyatt at Super Showdown. As we saw on this past Friday’s edition of Smackdown, it appears the plan is for Roman Reigns to challenge Goldberg for the title at WrestleMania.

Another rumor making the rounds is Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar’s match. According to reports, the plan is for Drew to beat Brock for the WWE Championship. While this is exciting news for fans, they also know not to give their hopes up because anything can change in WWE.

Former WWE Divas create buzz

This week a lot of former WWE Divas’ social media posts left fans curious with the meaning behind its message.

Trish Stratus is getting ready to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her WWE debut on March 19th. On her Twitter page, Trish released a short video touting her anniversary, which also featured a photo of her and Sasha Banks. This is leading to speculation that the two women could be competing in a match. Fans have been wanting a Trish vs Sasha match since their showdown at the 2018 Royal Rumble. As March 19th draws nearer, fans are curious about what Trish and Sasha could be working on.

A few other Divas who made news this week are Lita, Gail Kim, and Christy Hemme. On Friday, the women posted black and white photos of themselves promoting a project called This Is Kayfabe. There’s no word on what the project is, but fans are speculating it could be a podcast, documentary, or tell-all book spilling all the secrets of wrestling.

The Exalted One mystery continues

The Exalted One continues to be one of the biggest mysteries in AEW. Recently, hints were dropped indicating that it could be Matt Hardy.

Hardy’s contract with WWE expired with WWE on March 1st. WWE had been trying to get Hardy to stay by offering him a role down in NXT.

While fans are convinced Matt Hardy is AEW bound, there’s been no official statement from the star about his future plans.

Lance Archer’s debut

The biggest news for AEW this week is the signing of NJPW star Lance Archer.

Archer will make his debut on AEW Dynamite this coming Wednesday and fans are curious about what’s in store for the star.

One theory is that he could be The Exalted One since The Dark Order is using Archer’s catchphrase “Everybody Dies.”

Another theory is that Archer could be going after Jon Moxley because of their history in NJPW.

What’s next for Moxley?

At Revolution, Moxley beat Chris Jericho for the AEW Championship.

On Wednesday, fans will find out what’s next for Moxley and who’ll be the first challenger for him.

During the press conference after the PPV, Moxley mentioned Jeff Cobb, MJF, and Cody Rhodes as potential wrestlers he’d like to face.
