WWE SmackDown Results For August 27th, 2015: Ambrose vs. Sheamus

Welcome to Thursday night SmackDown, the show opens with The Wyatt Family cutting a promo on Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in the ring. Wyatt says that Sister Abigail brought him a gift, that gift was his savior. Braun Stowman. He is the new face of destruction. Strowman takes his mask off as Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose makes their way down to the ring. Reigns said that they’ve had their asses kicked before and they’ll do it swinging. The five men have a staredown in the ring, but the Wyatts retreat.

-Commercial Break-

Tag team match: The Dudley Boyz vs. The Ascension.

Konnor and Bubba Ray start the match off, they lock up. He pushed him down, then tagged in Devon, but he ate a series of knees to the gut. Viktor tagged in, but Devon hits a powerslam then tags in Bubba. He nailed a series of powerslams of his own, then they hit the what’s up. Viktor blocked the STO and tagged in Konnor, who hit a flying knee drop to the face of Bubba. Bubba reversed an Irish whip and hit a flying clothesline. Devon got the hot tag and cleaned house on Konnor. Devon with a series of flying shoulder blocks as Viktor breaks up the pin attempt. Devon fought them off, got a hot tag to Bubba, who sent Viktor into the ring post. They hit the 3D on Konnor for the win.

Winners: Dudley Boyz.

Post-match, Bubba and Devon put Viktor through a table while The New Day stood at ringside with picket signs protesting no more tables.

-Commercial Break-

Singles match: Kevin Owens vs. Neville.

They lock up, Neville with a hurricanrana sending Owens to the floor. He went for a baseball slide, but Owens side stepped and hit a clothesline to Neville. Back in the ring, Owens hit a spinning neck breaker.

We’re back from break with Neville making his comeback. Neville
hit a drop kick off the top rope for a near fall. Neville ducked a clothesline and hit a German suplex. Neville went for the Red Arrow, but was super kicked by Owens. This led to Owens hitting the powerbomb for the win.

Winner: Owens.

-Commercial Break-
There was a backstage segment between Team Bella and Team PCB.

Tag team match: Charlotte and Becky Lynch vs. The Bella Twins.

Nikki Bella and Charlotte start things off, they lock up. Charlotte pushed Nikki into her corner, then tagged in Lynch, that resulted in them hitting a double dropkick. Nikki reversed an arm lock and tagged in Brie, but once she got the tag, she at a drop kick by Lynch. This leads to Lynch hitting a series of leg drops on Brie. Charlotte tagged, but missed a knee drop. Charlotte went for a tag, but Nikki pulled Lynch off the apron. Back in the ring, Charlotte rolled up Brie Bella for the win.

Winners: Charlotte and Becky.

-Commercial Break-

Seth Rollins walked down to the ring just before the second hour of the show begins. He said that Monday’s RAW was set to be the greatest night of his life, but that was ruined by Sting. It was supposed to be a moment in time that would move him into immortality. He showed footage of Sting attacking him on RAW. He said that Sting had no right to attack him on RAW. He said that Sting is freak and an old man. He said that Sting should be afraid of him. Rollins promised to turn Sting into dust at Night of Champions.

-Commercial Break-

Tag team match: Dolph Ziggler and Ryback vs. Rusev and Big Show.

Big Show and Ryback start things off, they lock up. Ryback with a shoulder block to Big Show. Ryback with another one following a counter strike. He knocked Rusev off the apron and turned around right into a spear by Big Show. Rusev tagged himself in as we go to break.

We’re back from break with Rusev and Big Show in control of Ryback. Ryback countered a strike by Ruev and hit a spinebuster on him. He got the hot tag to Ziggler and so did Rusev to Big Show. Ziggler hit a big DDT to Big Show then a superkick for 2. Ziggler went for another, but blocked. Big Show hit a powerslam instead. Big Show with the KO punch, but Rusev tagged himself in. He knocked Ryback off the apron and locked in the Accolade on Ziggler, but Big Show hit Rusev with a KO punch then walked to the back. Ziggler covered Rusev for the win.

Winners: Ziggler and Ryback.

-Commercial Break-

The RAW rebound is shown.

Singles match: Sheamus vs. Dean Ambrose.

They start brawling to begin the match. Ambrose slams into the announce table then hit a flying forearm shot off of it.

-Commercial Break-

We’re back from break with Ambrose and Sheamus exchanging right hands. The brawl continues! Ambrose with a series of clotheslines then a bull dog for 2 All of a sudden, the lights go out then back on. The Wyatt Family surrounds the ring and this distracts Ambrose. Sheamus hit him with a big boot for the win.

Winner: Sheamus.

Post-match, Ambrose was attacked by The Wyatt Family. Roman Reigns ran down to the ring to make the save. He hit Harper with a superman punch. Strowman grabbed Reigns by his face then locked in the one armed submission hold to choke out Reigns.

The Wyatts stood tall to close the show.
