Other prominent matches saw Kofi Kingston retain the WWE Championship against Samoa Joe, and The New Day’s Big E and Xavier Woods won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship by defeating Heavy Machinery (Otis and Tucker Knight) and former champions Daniel Bryan and Rowan, making them record-tying four-time champions along with Kingston under the Freebird Rule. In the opening match, The Undertaker and Roman Reigns defeated Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre in a No Holds Barred tag team match.
