Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Rey Mysterio has worked while banged up as of late.
The former WWE Champion worked through matches while hurt a few weeks ago. It caused him to take a week away from the ring.
Rey and Dominik Mysterio vs. The Street Profits was originally scheduled to take place on the December 13th Raw, but it was pushed back to December 27th.
The Profits beat The Mysterios to become the new #1 contenders to Raw Tag Team Championships so they will challenge Randy Orton and Riddle for the straps at Saturday’s WWE Day 1 pay-per-view.
The match was delayed due to injuries on both teams as Montez Ford was out of action for health-related reasons.
