AAA Unhappy With AEW For Pulling Tay Melo From Event

The relationship between AAA and All Elite Wrestling may be strained after the latter pulled Tay Melo from the recent AAA Noche de Campeones event.

Melo and fiancé Sammy Guevara were due to defend the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships at the show but did not make the event.

Instead, Melo competed on this week’s AEW Dynamite, teaming with Anna Jay to defeat Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that “AAA wasn’t thrilled” with AEW’s decision to keep her in the U.S.

Guevara and Melo were stripped of the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships, which are now held by Abismo and Flammer.
