Ace Steel will be working Saturday night’s Impact Wrestling Bound For Glory pay-per-view event.
According to a report from Pwinsider, Steel is currently in Chicago, IL and will be working as a producer for the weekend. This will include the pay-per-view itself and the post-PPV TV tapings. One source said the gig is being described as a producer tryout.
As you all know by now, Steel was fired from All Elite Wrestling following the All Out 2022 backstage brawl. He would ultimately return to AEW by working remotely. After CM Punk was fired from AEW after his backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All In 2023, Steel was once again released.
While this will obviously lead to a ton of speculation that CM Punk could appear at Bound for Glory 2023, there is no confirmation on that actually happening. It’s worth noting that many people in the company wouldn’t be surprised to see CM Punk at the show (at least in a backstage capacity) due to the event taking place in his hometown. Punk has attended previous Impact Wrestling TV tapings in Chicago.
