Adam Cole injured his ankle during the World Title match between MJF and Samoa Joe on AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam. He hurt himself while running to the ring, jumping off the entrance ramp to the floor at ringside.
As a result, Cole was pulled from the ROH Tag Team Title Match at WrestleDream 2023.
Cole revealed during a livestream on Twitch that he will have to undergo multiple surgeries for his ankle injury, with it seeing him have a plate and four screws inserted.
He added that it will be some time before he can recover, rehab, and return to the ring.
