On a recent edition of the “Insight” podcast, Roderick Strong spoke about being part of AEW’s ‘Devil’ storyline and why he enjoyed it so much. He said,
“That whole situation was so big for my career. Giving me an opportunity to not have to wrestle my way to get people’s attention the whole time. That was fantastic.”
Strong added that another perk of the storyline which saw Adam Cole be revealed as the Devil was that he could work with his good friend again. He said,
“That’s my dude. My favorite parts of my career are with him. For Adam to create an opportunity for Matt, Mike, and Wardlow. That’s super cool. Matt and Mike really haven’t had an opportunity to do anything like that to get that kind of attention on that level.”
At AEW Revolution 2024, Strong captured the AEW International Championship from Orange Cassidy, his first taste of title gold since joining the promotion.
