In a new interview with Fightful, All Elite Wrestling cornerstone, Adam Page opens up about the much talked about Joey Ryan spot with penis druids from this past September’s All In spectacular:
“I knew what I was building to for All In. For almost a year, I had a feud with Joey Ryan about penis envy, then it turned into this murder-mystery — his res-erection, and being brought ringside by a bunch of inflatable penises. I knew this was where it was going and something I wanted to do, just because it was different. I love that kind of thing. It wasn’t something I talked a lot with family and friends, because I knew what the payoff was going to be. It was going to be a lot harder to explain than for them to enjoy. I didn’t even explain to my parents that All In was a big deal. For a lot of fans, that was the highlight of All In because of how preposterous it was, and because in the grand scheme of things, it made sense!”
