AEW News – The Acclaimed Hype Rampage Appearance, Black Warrior Tribute

Following their hit diss track, The Acclaimed cut a new promo to hype their upcoming appearance on this week’s episode of AEW Rampage. The reigning AEW World Tag Team Champions cut a promo that was shared by AEW’s official Twitter account.

AEW’s tweet reads as follows:

“Our scissors are gunna live in concrete forever!”

We’ll hear from #TheAcclaimed @PlatinumMax @Bowens_Official @RealBillyGunn THIS FRIDAY on #AEWRampage at 10pm ET/9pm CT! It’s #AEWDynamite LIVE on TBS!”

The clip features Max Caster declaring that The Acclaimed will be “among the biggest names in showbiz history,” referencing controversial public figures and celebrities, namely, Roseanne Barr, Alec Baldwin, Donald Trump, and Johnny Depp. Bowens then interrupted Caster, noting,

“What they mean is the Hollywood Walk of Fame Board of Directors have unanimously voted for The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass to receive stars on the Walk of Fame. So our scissors are going to live in concrete forever because everyone loves The Acclaimed!”

In other news, Excalibur acknowledged the passing of Lucha Libre legend Black Warrior on AEW’s FITE TV feed of Dynamite. Warrior passed away on January 10, 2023 at the age of 54, three days after his birthday. Excalibur said the following:

“For our fans in Mexico, fans of lucha libre, we want to send our condolences to the fans, family, and friends of Black Warrior. A legendary luchador who just recently passed away.”
