Jim Ross has called countless matches in his wrestling career and has now shared the dream match he wishes he could don a headset for.
On a recent edition of his “Grilling JR” podcast, Jim Ross was asked what his dream match to commentate on would be. He said,
“Jack Brisco would be involved in the match, without question. Brisco and Kurt Angle would be good for example. I like wrestling, and those guys would provide great wrestling. Something like that, and there are so many others, but Brisco and Kurt Angle would be something I would be chomping at the bit to be involved in.
“They’re just so good at what they did and everything they did made sense. So you’re not trying to process ridiculous information, you’re trying to process realism and they were very real.”
JR commentated on some of Brisco’s matches before he retired from the ring in 1985.
Ross commentated on many of Angle’s matches in WWE, including his first World Championship win. Ross is often credited as the man who helped bring Angle to WWE.
