Mercedes Mone has acknowledged the success of her wrestling career as WWE’s Sasha Banks, ahead of her expected debut for AEW.
Mone hasn’t competed as Sasha Banks since May of 2022 when she and Naomi walked out of a WWE RAW taping due to creative differences with what was planned.
On a recent edition of the “Kick Rocks” podcast, Mone reflected on her time as ‘The Boss’ of WWE. She said,
“A legend. An icon. A powerhouse. Someone who stands up for what she believes in. Is a legit boss. They got that trademark for a good reason. I played that role really good. A legit boss, inside and outside the ring, and will lay it all on the line. She has a heart full of gold. Sasha Banks, what a career. What an amazing career. The thing about that, it makes me even more excited to see what Mercedes Mone can do.”
Mone is expected to make her debut for AEW on the upcoming ‘Big Business’ edition of Dynamite despite recently stating she’s sure she’ll return to WWE one day.
