Art of Wrestling (AoW) Crowns Its First Champion

Art Of Wrestling promotion based in Prague, Czech Republic crowned its first champion on January 27th at an event called “Championship Night”. Hungarian wrestler Icarus won an eight man tournament to become the first ever AoW Champion on his 30th birthday.

“It is a pretty special moment for me because there is a wrestling revolution in Czech Republic right now. I’m a part of Art of Wrestling since the beginning and I will proudly represent the entire company all over the world”.

Icarus is regarded as one of the best European wrestlers. He has performed for HCW, wXw, GFW, GWP, RevPro, Fight Club:Pro, Defiant Wrestling and Real Pro Wrestling among many other promotions, and has competed against the likes of Aleister Black, Mark Haskins, Fabian Aichner, Tristan, Archer, Matt Cross, Angelico, Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne.

Art of Wrestling was founded in 2008 as a wrestling website with articles, video blogs and podcasts. A brand transformed into the first-ever Czech pro-wrestling promotion in 2017. First event “Prague Uprising” was held in January of the same year, and AoW is looking to hold more events this year. Art of Wrestling Championship was made by the Leather Rebels company from the United Kingdom.
