— A new petition at Change.org is asking YouTube to change its new rules regarding wrestling content. YouTube changed their guidelines last month in a way that (among other things) classified professional wrestling content as “non-advertiser friendly,” which has signficantly hurt the revenue streams of several wrestling companies. As of this writing the petition has 9,258 of their initial 10,000 signature goal. You can check it out at the link.
— WWE has a gallery of Karl Anderson throwing out the first pitch at the Cincinnati Reds’ home game.
— WWE has announced a segment for next week’s episode of NXT, with Bobby Roode’s “Glorious Celebration.” The episode tapes on Thursday night from Full Sail University.
— WWE has announced that Tandy O’Donoghue, EVP of Corporate Strategy & Analytics, has been appointed to The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Board of Directors. O’Donoghue is responsible for strategic growth initiatives at WWE.
“I am incredibly proud to join an organization that is dedicated to preparing the next generation of leaders to thrive in an increasingly competitive economy,” O’Donoghue said. “TMCF’s mission aligns closely with WWE’s commitment to the community, and my goal is to leverage my professional background, along with WWE’s global media platforms, to support current and future students at TMCF’s member-schools.”
