Appearing as a guest on a recent edition of the “Under the Ring” podcast, AEW referee Aubrey Edwards named a couple of her favorite referees in the wrestling business. She said,
“My favorite referee is John Cone, I think he’s really great. I’ve learned a lot of stuff from watching him. Tommy Young is also very, very excellent with someone I studied a lot when I was first starting out.”
During a recent virtual signing with “K & S WrestleFest,” WWE alumni The Sandman was asked if he’d been in contact with AEW for a possible appearance. The ECW original replied,
“I’ve never talked to anybody in AEW, just so you know. Then again, I don’t even know if they’d have my phone number. I’m so far out of the business. It’s crazy.”
Rob Van Dam and Sabu are some of The Sandman’s ECW contemporaries who recently appeared in AEW.
