As noted, WWE is planning to have a non-title match between WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and WWE Champion Jinder Mahal serve as the main event of Survivor Series, according to F4WOnline’s Daily Update.
In an update, neither title will be at stake for the match. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline is reporting that WWE has apparently had the idea for a long time of doing Raw vs. SmackDown matches for the Survivor Series. Meltzer added that there may be more Raw vs. SmackDown matches at the show.
Last year’s Survivor Series main event was between Goldberg and Lesnar. If you recall, Goldberg won in shocking fashion by beating “The Beast” in only one minute and twenty-six seconds.
The Survivor Series pay-per-view event takes place on Sunday, November 19, 2017, in Houston, Texas at the Toyota Center and will air on the WWE Network and some traditional pay-per-view outlets. Both Raw and SmackDown brands will be featured.
