As we reported earlier today here on eWn, Dolph Ziggler and Aliyah are just two of several names who were released from WWE today.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Dolph Ziggler’s contract was originally set to expire next summer. For what it’s worth, Ziggler openly talked about wanting to leave WWE years ago but was talked into staying with the promise of a big push. At one point in 2019, Ziggler removed his ring name from his social media accounts and was very open about his desire to leave.
As far as Aliyah is concerned, she was “rarely if ever” brought to TV since she and Raquel Rodriguez lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. This is said to have been a case of “creative has nothing for you.”
