We noted earlier on the site that WWE taped a Kairi Sane vs. Nia Jax match on Tuesday that will air on next week’s episode of Raw. This is where it was reported that Sane had been busted open after a bad bump on the outside of the ring.
Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio noted that after Sane had been sent into the ring steps and tried to avoid hitting her head, which she did, that resulted in her being knocked silly and busted open.
There is no word yet on if Sane suffered a concussion during the spot, but she was said to be okay. Those who were there aren’t blaming Jax for the spot going wrong as one person described the incident as Sane being in control of her bump.
Another witness said she may have stumbled and hit her head on the steps anyway.
