At Saturday’s WWE Crown Jewel 2023 pay-per-view event, Kairi Sane made her return by helping IYO SKY retain her women’s title against Bianca Belair.
As we reported earlier this week here on eWn, WWE wanted to bring Kairi back as early as last year. For unknown reasons, it didn’t work out.
According to a report from Fightful Select, the deal to bring Sane back was completed months ago. It is said that it took place around the same time WWE signed Nia Jax and Lexis King (Brian Pillman Jr). All of these signings took place shortly after WWE’s unofficial hiring freeze came to an end.
Finally, it was added that there have been talks about more names joining Sane and SKY.
