As reported yesterday here on eWrestlingNews.com, WWE officially announced that all WWE pay-per-view events from the Backlash pay-per-view event in May and beyond will be dual RAW and SmackDown! Live brand events. Superstars from both the RAW and SmackDown! Live brands will be featured on the PPV shows. According to sources, WWE RAW and SmackDown! Live Superstars were not informed of the change prior to WWE’s official announcement on Saturday morning.

When asked about it, WWE officials declined to comment on what this change will mean going forward for WWE talents. The rumors of dual brand pay-per-view events began circulating after Ticketmaster issued an email to ticket-holders earlier this month, saying that RAW and SmackDown! Live Superstars would be appearing at the Backlash PPV event in May.
