According to a report from WrestlingNews.co, Asuka’s opponent for the WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event is going to be decided on in the next few days, likely over the weekend or at Monday or Tuesday’s WWE TV tapings. Asuka is currently being advertised to face WWE SmackDown! Live Women’s Champion Carmella at this coming Tuesday night’s WWE SmackDown! Live TV tapings in Orlando, Florida.
Speaking of Carmella, she is set to defend her SmackDown! Live women’s title in a Triple Threat Match against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam. It’s possible that Asuka may get into the SummerSlam women’s title match by facing and doing an angle with Carmella on Tuesday night.
