As seen on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Adam Cole announced that he broke his ankle in three places and will need to undergo surgery. The injury occured at last week’s AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam TV tapings.
For those wondering if the injury is a work due to some fans speculating that the person wearing the MJF mask at the end of the show was Adam Cole, Fightful Select is reporting that the injury and surgery are legitimate.
Cole needed help traveling to Broomfield, CO and was spotted all day using crutches backstage at the AEW Dynamite TV tapings. Initially, the hope was that he had just sustained a sprain, but that is not the case. As of this writing, there is no word on how long Adam Cole will be out of action.
