As we’ve been reporting here on eWn, Jade Cargill is rumored to be jumping ship from AEW to WWE. The belief is that the former TBS Champion finished her commitments with All Elite Wrestling at Wednesday night’s AEW Dynamite/Rampage TV tapings.
According to a report from Fightful Select, several people in WWE are under the impression that Cargill’s AEW contract is structured in a way that could see her sign with WWE right away. While there was talk of Cargill having option years in AEW, that has not been confirmed.
Additionally, several top names in WWE had heard that Cargill is heading to the company last week, with several people openly talking about it backstage at RAW.
It was said that Cargill was greeted and hugged by several members of the AEW roster following her match with Kris Statlander at Wednesday night’s Rampage TV tapings. Those who were there viewed the situation as a farewell within AEW. While many in AEW are under the impression that Jade is headed to WWE, nobody has heard that directly from her. The only thing she’s told people is that she wants to focus on family and the softball team she owns.
Finally, it was noted that the potential jump to WWE isn’t financially motivated. Cargill has a team of representatives who handle all of her deals.
