As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, The Amalie Arena is currently advertising Sasha Banks to appear at their July 22nd live event in Tampa, FL. With that being said, she is currently not listed on the WWE.com live events page for the same event. Some fans have been speculating online that Banks may return at this Sunday’s WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view event to help Bayley in her two-on-one handicap match against Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss. Cross noted in a promo on this week’s WWE RAW broadcast that Bayley needs to get “a friend who will have her back.”
According to Dave Meltzer, there’s no “definitive decision either way” right now for Sasha Banks. Banks’ status with WWE is said “to be determined.” There have been rumors over the last several months that Banks was taking some time off and would be back when the time is right but it’s totally up to her on whether she wants to return or not. Either way, WWE is not letting her out of her current contract, which has several more years left on ir.
Banks last appeared for WWE at WrestleMania 35, where she and Bayley lost the women’s tag team titles to The IIconics in a four-way tag team match.
