The Blackpool Combat Club triumphed over The Elite in a bloody Anarchy In The Arena match at AEW Double Or Nothing 2023 courtesy of an assist from Konosuke Takeshita.
Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Bryan Danielson defeated The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and Hangman Page following a crucial interference from Don Callis. The distraction allowed a masked Takeshita to neutralize Omega with a screwdriver shot. Yuta then pinned Omega to win the match.
Omega addressed the crowd following the loss and teased that he may recruit a couple of new friends to fight the Blackpool Combat Club. Omega said,
“I might not be the most popular guy backstage, but there is a bigger world than AEW, and I still have at least one or two really good friends that can even up the odds. You guys stay tuned. We are not done! This is not over!”
