Booker T said on Saturday night that he is planning to run for mayor of Houston in 2020. He made the announcement on his latest Heated Conversations Podcast on Sports Radio 610.
“You heard it, 2020 I’m preparing. I’m preparing myself to run for mayor of the city,” said Booker T.
He noted that he made the decision after chatting with Rhyno about his run for a seat in Michigan’s House of Representatives this year. Appearing on the podcast, Rhyno said to Booker, “You are overqualified for the job. Wrestling not only prepares you for life, but it also prepares you for positions like that because you feel the emotion from the people you know what they want; you’ve built yourself from where you were to where you’re at now.”
