Bryan Danielson is ready to teach a painful lesson to Kazuchika Okada, who he claims has had it easy since his arrival in New Japan Pro Wrestling.

Ahead of his match at the Tokyo Dome, Danielson spoke with New Japan Pro Wrestling about Okada, who he will face at Wrestle Kingdom 18. He said,

“When he came to New Japan after he went on excursion, they’re like ‘Look at him, he’s tall, he’s athletic’ and he gets catapulted right up to the main event.”

Danielson added that he believes he is tougher than Okada and recalled a previous orbital bone injury and how he pushed through without the benefits of AEW. He said,

“I fractured my orbital bone and detached my retina in 2007 and I didn’t have s—t. I had to do that all on my own, and I was back wrestling three weeks later, well before I should have been because if I didn’t, I didn’t make any money.”

Danielson concluded that he has a goal of injuring Okada going into Wrestle Kingdom 18. The two will face off at the annual January 4 event.
