WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair has held plenty of gold in WWE but doesn’t have plans to become the Undisputed WWE Women’s Champion.

In 2016, WWE reintroduced the WWE Women’s Championship, which Flair (the final WWE Divas Champion) won at WrestleMania 32.

The title was later rebranded to the WWE RAW Women’s Championship, after the 2016 brand split and SmackDown introduced its own title.

Speaking to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, Flair spoke about the possibility that the two titles could be unified. She said,

“I don’t recommend a unification program because I feel that would mean less opportunities for the women. It was cool for one of the girls to have both titles at one time, but it takes a lot of spots away.”

Flair will defend the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 against 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley.

In 2022, WWE unified their Men’s World Championships and Men’s Tag Team Championships, which are held by Roman Reigns and The Usos respectively.
