It was announced on Tuesday that Cody Rhodes will be wrestling Kurt Angle at the Northeast Wrestling “Wrestling Under the Stars” event on August 27th in Wappingers Falls, NY. Rhodes will be free of his contract with WWE and allowed to work for other promotions after August 19th. Angle tweeted out the following:

Jeff Hardy will be wrestling Jushin “Thunder” Liger at the event as well. Other names advertised for the event include Jerry Lawler, Sami Callihan, Mike Bennett and Maria.
