Cody Rhodes could return to All Elite Wrestling, despite leaving the company earlier this week.
In a series of statements from Cody, Brandi Rhodes, and Tony Khan, it was announced that the couple had departed the company and were not present at the latest Dynamite TV tapings.
It’s believed that Cody will sign a contract with WWE when he’s able to do so, but Fightful reports that he’s yet to ink a deal and that until something happens, he could always return to AEW.
Tony Khan was said to have been in a “down mood” backstage after talks ended with Rhodes earlier this week after the former TNT Champion made his decision to leave following a dispute over pay and booking control.
Additionally, “Rhodes To The Top” has not been canceled and there are still discussions going on about the future of the show.
While the show heavily focuses on Cody and Brandi’s roles in AEW, the show is produced by Shed Media US and Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, meaning it could go on without AEW’s involvement.
