Sammy Guevara has been absent from AEW television for months because the company has suspended him after a scary incident involving Jeff Hardy during a No DQ Match on a recent episode of AEW Rampage.
Guevara was suspended due to his failure to follow the concussion protocol. The duration of the suspension and the date of his return remain uncertain.
Dave Meltzer reported the following in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter:
“Sammy Guevara is still suspended from AEW over the miscommunication during the match vs Jeff Hardy where he hit a GTH on an injured Hardy.”
