WWE United States Champion Logan Paul was one of the first people to reach out to Cameron Grimes after his release from WWE this week.
Grimes, a former NXT North American Champion, was among the first wave of talent cuts as part of the promotion’s ‘new era.’
On a recent edition of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Grimes was appreciative that Paul reached out to him following his exit from WWE. He said,
“This is gonna sound weird because the level of star he is, but Logan Paul actually reached out to me, and I thought that was pretty cool because he’s a megastar really, even beyond wrestling. He reached out to me and said some stuff to me, so that helps me feel good.”
Grimes will have to wait until July before he can sign with another promotion. Paul’s most recent match saw him retain the U.S. Championship at WrestleMania 40.
