WWE RAW commentator Corey Graves made a reference to the beef between AEW President Tony Khan and Ariel Helwani during last night’s episode of the red brand.
After appearing on SmackDown in his native Montreal, Helwani was called a “fraud” by Khan and had his journalistic integrity questioned.
Khan also claimed that Helwani is as “legitimate a reporter” as AEW’s Tony Schiavone.
During a match featuring The Miz on RAW, Graves referenced the issue, saying that the host of Miz TV is an “unbiased journalist” and adding that WWE is “rife with those.”
At Elimination Chamber 2023, fellow commentator Michael Cole referred to Helwani as a journalist that “asks all the hard questions whether you want to answer them or not.”
In late 2022, Helwani called Khan his most “frustrating” interview, as the AEW President refused to answer several questions including some regarding CM Punk’s status.
