Daniel Bryan joined the Wyatt Family on Raw last week. Looking down the line and for the future of this story, is it a good thing that he joined the clan?
Now obviously it is too soon to tell, the point of this is to see what we can expect down the road for this new character for Daniel Bryan. He has been with WWE since 2009 where he started in developmental. He has gone through several changes to his appearance. What has not changed that much is his gimmick. It is him playing himself week in and week out on TV.
He made his debut on the main roster on the NXT show on Syfy. Since he has been on there and where he is now. Daniel Bryan has only been a Heel (bad guy) twice in his WWE career. When he first debut with the “Nexus” group and in 2011 and when he was World Heavyweight champion with miss AJ Lee.
The point of going down memory lane is this, he is a fan favorite. The “WWE Universe” loves this guy. He has a like-able personality and can go with anyone in the ring. He has been the most over guy for the past nine months.
I understand that in wrestling, if you are the most over guy in the locker room. You turn on the fans and start your heel run. That is what happened in this case, but there is a problem with that. As if right now, WWE does not have too many baby-faces that are mega over. Aside from CM Punk and John Cena, Who do they have who gets a pop that big aside from the part-timers on the roster?
I believe in wrestling traditions, but in this case. I don’t think it should have been done. Some have speculated that it will only be for a short period of time that he will be a member of the Wyatts. I sure hope so, but they could drag this out.
These four guys (Wyatt Family and Daniel Bryan) are my favorite superstars in WWE right now. I have enjoyed their feud, but it is time to move on. Have Bryan finally take on Bray without any interference from Harper and Rowan and resolve this feud. If they are going to have Daniel Bryan go back to being a baby-face. DON’T Drag It Out.
If they can do this right, which I have all faith they will not. Daniel Bryan being a member of the Wyatts can be a really good story. We have all seen his new look at this awesome website (EWrestlingNews.com) and I cannot wait to see what they do on Raw with this story.
