As reported earlier here on eWrestlingNews.com, Daniel Bryan recently appeared on the “Bear Hug It Out” podcast to promote SmackDown Live! and discussed a variety of topics. During the interview, Bryan poked some fun at RAW for its new Universal Championship and noted that “the blue brand is the one with the real title.”
“It’s great having the only real World Champion on SmackDown,” Bryan said, noting that he’s not against the idea of RAW making a new title since they’re doing the same for the SmackDown women’s division. He said of the new championship, “We are taking our time with it to make sure that we do it right.”
He then made some comments about the WWE RAW Universal Championship that Seth Rollins and Finn Balor will be fighting for at SummerSlam, noting, “We’re making a title that’s even bigger called the Universal title! It’s bigger! You’re the champion of the Galaxy!”
D-Bryan also tweeted the following, featuring a clip of his appearance on the podcast:
