UFC heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has a fight in front of him. He’ll defend his heavyweight championship at UFC 230 tonight (Sat. November 3, 2018) from Madison Square Garden. However, he hasn’t forgotten about Brock Lesnar. A fight between the pair was teased this past summer with an in-Octagon confrontation.
Speaking on “Busted Open Radio” recently, Cormier talked about his confrontation with Lesnar. He said that he likes Lesnar’s skills on the microphone, and is confused as to why WWE doesn’t let him cut more promos:
“Right after that, we kept going back and forth. Brock did a promo on me calling me a piece of s**t. I don’t know why they haven’t had Brock talking in years because he is good at it,” Cormier said. “It is special when he does so maybe that is why it resonated so well.
“Then he left, but I mean I would have dug my heels first off, and secondly, I would have pushed him back. But honestly, I was in there thinking, holy s**t, I am having a WrestleMania moment. I am having a WrestleMania moment right now with Brock Lesnar. It is the greatest, craziest thing and was thinking about how amazing it was. Even at that moment, I was like, this is crazy.”
