While speaking to Kevin Kellam of WrestleZone, Jack Swagger aka Jake Hager revealed that he may be headed to All Elite Wrestling.
The interview was initially to build up to this coming Saturday is fight against TJ Jones for Bellator MMA, but it quickly turned into a conversation about what may be next for Hager in his pro wrestling career.
The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion acknowledged that in professional wrestling if you’re away too long, you run the risk of losing your timing inside of the ring and also your name value. He followed that up by saying that there would likely be some all elite wrestling officials in attendance for the fight which will be held in Chicago’s Allstate Arena and teased going to the new promotion:
“Ever since that first fight I’ve been reached out to by everyone in the world, like ‘hey will you come wrestle here?’ Now I’m in the driver’s seat and I get to choose who I get to work with. Like I’ve said, the last twelve years I got to work with some amazing people, maybe I’ll want to work with some people that will want to ‘buck’ the system in the future.”
