Following night two of the NJPW G1 Climax 33 tournament, Eddie Kingston spoke at a press event where he expressed his desire to wrestle Shingo Takagi either at AEW All In or All Out. He said,

“I’m not gonna talk a lot of trash or try to sell tickets. This is a sport, so I’m gonna treat it like a sport. Thank you for the fight and I hope we do it again. I’m praying. Tony Khan, I put you on the spot, me and Shingo, [at] All In or All Out, … Give us time. Me and Shingo will show the world Strong Style [and] King’s Road combined.”

Kingston defeated Takagi on night two of the NJPW G1 Climax 33 tournament.

Kota Ibushi will compete in a 10-man tag team match at “GLEAT Ver.MEGA” in Japan next month.

Ibushi has formed a team including AJPW’s Shuji Ishikawa, Big Japan’s Daisuke Sekimoto, freelance talent Hagane Shinno, and Ganbare Pro’s Yumehito Imanari against El Lindaman, Check Shimatani, Soma Watanabe, Takanori Ito, and Kaito Ishida at the August 4th show.

The match will mark Ibushi’s first bout in Japan since 2021.

Ibushi will also be part of Team Golden Elite in the Blood & Guts match against Team Blackpool Combat Club on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

Ibushi noted that each of his partners for the GLEAT match is over 40 except 37-year-old Imanari, who he said was “basically 40.”
