Edge’s return on the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown did not stop the show from losing viewers. However, the clip of his return has proven to be a huge success on WWE’s YouTube channel. The clip, which you can view below has drawn in over 4.3 million viewers at the time of writing.
This is massively up from WWE’s usual viewership for clips from RAW or SmackDown. With the remaining clips from SmackDown drawing just 600 thousand views more than what the clip of Edge managed alone.
Edge’s return would serve to set up a Universal Championship match against Roman Reigns at WWE Money in the Bank. Edge is also set to appear on tonight’s show, you can read about that here.
