In August 2023, Sonya Deville announced that she had sustained an ACL tear, rendering her unable to compete for an extended period of time.
At that time, Deville was reigning as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion alongside Chelsea Green, but due to her injury, Piper Niven took her place to ensure that Green did not have to relinquish the title.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Deville has been training for her WWE return and is expected to return to the ring soon.
Many believe that Deville’s recent social media post indicates that she will return shortly.
The report states, “Deville is expected to be back soon and has been training for her return after knee surgery.”
It is worth noting that Deville has yet to be listed as eligible for the 2024 WWE Draft.
During her time away from the ring, Deville tied the knot with her partner, Toni Cassano, in a star-studded ceremony.
