Eric Bischoff remains confident that whoever is revealed as the person under the Devil mask will be an anticlimactic revelation.
On a recent edition of his “83 Weeks” podcast, Bischoff spoke about AEW’s past surprises and believes the company is continuously overhyping things. He said,
“They no longer have faith in you, they don’t trust you, they don’t believe you anymore when you lose your credibility by overhyping. And who suffers? The talent suffers. There’s just no value in all that hype. There is zero value in all that hype. There is a tremendous amount of value in well-constructed surprises.”
Bischoff then turned his attention to the Devil and doubled down on recent claims that this reveal would not have been worth it. He said,
“It’s a career killer. It’s so anticlimactic that whoever it is [behind the mask] is going to suffer as a result because it’s been just so poorly constructed.”
Names being speculated as the one behind the mask include Adam Cole, Britt Baker, Wardlow, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Perry, Roderick Strong, and MJF.
