AEW wrestler Ethan Page could have ended up as a WWE Superstar had All Elite Wrestling not contacted him at just the right time.
On a recent edition of the “Bragman Breakdown” podcast, Page spoke about talking to WWE about a contract when an AEW representative reached out. He said,
“Matt Jackson was the one who reached out to me and changed my life forever, I tell the guy that all the time, thank you.”
While Jackson was the one who reached out to Page, the Canadian wrestler credited Cody Rhodes for being influential on his career in AEW. He said,
“Me and him wrestled on New Year’s, the main event on “Rampage” in one of my favorite matches of my career. He was so giving in the ring and pushed for the match himself.”
When asked about the talks with WWE, Page said,
“It was a good conversation, it just wasn’t the right timing at the time. I honestly had my eyes set on AEW at the time.”
