Former WWE Superstar Eva Marie is thrilled for the release of her first film in which she is the lead.
Marie was with WWE from 2013 to 2017 and had a brief return in 2021 but was released that same year.
Appearing as a guest on “Paltrocast With Darren Paltrowitz,” the former Total Divas star discussed her upcoming film ‘Phoenix‘ in which she will be the lead. She said,
“I had filmed my first lead action, it’s called ‘Phoenix’ and hopefully it — if everything goes well in the editing room it will drop this year. I don’t know where exactly it will live in the sense of like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, but that is a little something that I have been up to for sure.”
Marie’s other acting credits include 2017’s ‘Inconceivable‘ and she shared the screen with Die Hard’s Bruce Willis in 2020’s ‘Hard Kill.’
The former Total Divas star and WWE Superstar said earlier this year that she remains in “constant talks” with WWE about a return.
