AEW Collision Results
We open with Swerve Strickland’s first interview since winning the AEW World Championship. Prince Nana calls him the boss of bosses and the anointed one. He is one hell of a wrestler. He is none other than the AEW World Heavyweight Champion, Swerve Strickland. The new champion shares some of the previous week’s highlights, including what The Elite did to Tony Khan. He has done some terrible things, but four wrestlers beating up a non-wrestler is a b**** move to him.
The most important thing that happened this week was him beating Samoa Joe to become the new AEW World Heavyweight Champion. A little pet peeve of his are people calling themselves the best in the world, when the best in the world is the man holding the gold. He talks about how his daughter congratulated him, but then said she didn’t know him too well. He mentions the missed birthdays and the sacrifices he has had to take to get to where he is.
Strickland is in a giving mood tonight, so he wants to put the title on the line in an open challenge. This is a new era. The Dynasty era, and he is leading the charge. Claudio Castagnoli enters the venue. He accepts the challenge. Strickland will face him later tonight. Castagnoli says it will be his house.
Tony Schiavone gives us an update on Tony Khan’s condition. Doctors have advised him not to travel, but he can run the show here in Jacksonville from a remote location. Nigel McGuinness asks who is going to run things if something happens while he isn’t there? The EVPs? Schiavone tells him not to be silly.

Deonna Purrazzo attacks Thunder Rosa after the match and a fight breaks out. Security comes between them to put a stop to it.
