Former TNA Superstar Hernandez Involved In A Backstage Brawl With Brent McKenzie At Indy Event

Former Lucha Underground and TNA Wrestling Superstar Shawn Hernandez was involved in a backstage brawl with indy wrestler Brent McKenzie prior to Saturday night’s Texas All-Star Wrestling event in Cypress, Texas. Video footage of the incident has surfaced online via social media and you can check that out below.

Judging from the video below, McKenzie was sitting in a chair getting ready for the event. Some sort of verbal argument between the two took place, leading to McKenzie offering to shake Hernandez’ hand. At that point, Hernandez appears to kick him in the face. The two then got into a brawl, and McKenzie put a headlock on Hernandez, pinning him to a table. Byron Wilcott then stepped in and separated the two. McKenzie let go, but Hernandez hit McKenzie again.

Then, according to reports from people who were there, Hernandez went to the bathroom to clean up and came back with a bloody mouth and a cut on his head. When he came back, he was furious. Wilcott tried to calm him down and took him to the other side of the room before the live event started. Hernandez then reportedly tried to fight Wilcott as well, but the locker room broke it up. Hernandez then took his family and left the venue, skipping the entire show.

Here is a video of the beginning of the brawl:
