Former WWE creative writer Freddie Prinze Jr. said on his latest Wrestling with Freddie podcast that he would like to start a small wrestling promotion.
It won’t be until at least a year from now that he launches it. He said,
“I want to start, not to make money because it won’t, and not to compete with anyone because I’m not trying to do that, but to just start a West Coast indie brand. Granted, I’m a year and a half from this coming to fruition. When I’m ready to go, I want to have a two year plan where if it makes money, cool, but it’s probably not, which is what my accountant said. I’ll try and do things the old Cornette way as far as business, like if I can find some places that actually want to play it, otherwise I’ll just play it on my Youtube channel and screw all of them. I want to start an indie wrestling league, and I don’t know if I want it to be kind of like GCW or if I want to go full comedy wrestling.”
